Cookie Policy.
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This cookie policy explains what cookies cjpt.ie uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It works alongside the Privacy Policy.
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit. They're used to remember preferences, track usage, and provide functionality across visits. Some cookies are essential to a site working at all; others are optional and used for things like analytics or advertising.
cjpt.ie uses cookies sparingly. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies on the site.
What cjpt.ie uses.
Essential storage
Required for the website to function and doesn't track you. Runs regardless of your consent choice because the site can't work properly without it.
Purpose: Remembers whether you've accepted or declined the analytics cookies so the banner doesn't reappear on every page.
Storage: localStorage on your device. Never sent to a server.
Analytics cookies (opt-in)
These run only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Decline" or haven't yet made a choice, none of these load.
Set by: Google Analytics 4
Purpose: Distinguishes unique users anonymously.
Expiry: 2 years
Set by: Google Analytics 4
Purpose: Maintains session state.
Expiry: 2 years
Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation enabled, meaning your IP address is truncated before storage. Google retains the resulting anonymous data for 14 months.
How to change your choice.
You can change your cookie consent at any time:
- → In your browser: clear cjpt.ie's localStorage via your browser's site settings. The next time you visit, the cookie banner will reappear and you can choose again.
- → Via browser controls: all modern browsers let you block or delete cookies for specific sites. Search "manage cookies in [your browser]" for instructions.
If you decline cookies, the site still works exactly the same — you just won't show up in my analytics. No content is hidden or gated based on your choice.
Third-party cookies on linked services.
If you click through to Calendly to book a consultation, the Calendly widget loads in an iframe and sets its own cookies. Those are governed by Calendly's privacy policy. I have no control over their cookies and don't share data with them beyond what you provide when booking.
Likewise, any external link (Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.) takes you to that service's domain, where their cookie policies apply.
Updates to this policy.
If I add or change cookies on the site, I'll update this page and the "last updated" date. If the change is material (e.g. adding a new tracking tool), I'll update the cookie banner so existing users are asked to consent again.
For broader questions about how I handle your data, see the Privacy Policy. For anything else, email charlie@cjpt.ie.
